Toyota Rush’s journey in Indonesia

Before discussing the service costs of the Toyota Rush 2021, it is better if we first examine the long journey of the Toyota Rush in Indonesia. Toyota Rush is an SUV product that was created as a result of Toyota’s collaboration with Daihatsu, a twin with Daihatsu Terios.

At the time of its launch, the Toyota Rush was successful in becoming one of the most popular compact SUV car models in Indonesia. Toyota Rush was first present to enliven the Indonesian automotive world in 2006, not long after the release of the Toyota Avanza and Daihatsu Xenia.

At first glance, the Toyota Rush looks the same as the Daihatsu Terios, but it turns out that these two cars have several differences. The Daihatsu Terios is made in a 7-seater configuration while the Toyota Rush is made in a 5-seater configuration. The presence of Toyota Rush in Indonesia has successfully boosted sales of Toyota SUVs from 3,000 units per year to 30,000 units per year.

In 2009, Toyota Rush and Daihatsu Terios received another facelift from Toyota and Daihatsu. At that time, changes made to this car only covered the exterior, such as changes to the grille with a cross in the middle of the logo, fog lamps or fog lamps, as well as the addition of bumper guards on the front and rear.

Then in October 2010, the Toyota Rush again received minor changes. At that time, Toyota Rush presented a new variant, namely the Toyota Rush G with a choice of automatic transmission. Several changes to the body were made, namely, the grille which became denser, the replacement of the taillights, and the bumper with a new pattern. In this new model, the Toyota Rush also gets an additional roof rail and wider tires to add an aggressive impression.

In 2013, Toyota Rush again offered its new variant after years of vacuum. At that time, the new variant offered was the Toyota Rush TRD Sportivo. When viewed from a design perspective, the Toyota Rush TRD Sportivo is still the same, but this variant has received various improvements compared to the previous version. One of them is on the exterior, where this variant undergoes changes to the spoiler and the front and rear bumper designs.

Toyota Rush received another change in 2016. The car configuration now applies a 7-seater configuration or can accommodate up to seven passengers. In addition, the Toyota Rush TRD Sportivo variant was also upgraded to the Toyota Rush TRD Sportivo Ultimo. This latest variant already uses a new front and rear suspension in the form of a New Shock Absorber and TRD’s typical Dual Rate Coil Spring so that it can provide better comfort and stability when driving at high speeds.

Then in 2017, the latest generation of Toyota Rush was introduced. The Toyota Rush, which was released in 2017, has completely changed its design, features, and engine.

This latest generation is equipped with several new additional features, namely the Engine Start / Stop Button which allows the driver to start the car without having to use a key. The engine used in the 2017 Toyota Rush is also new because it uses a 2NR-VE, Dual VVT-i engine, with a 1.5-liter capacity that can produce power of 104 PS and torque of 136 Nm.
